If you want to wake up feeling stupid, listen to Krista Tippett host a conversation with David Brooks and E. J. Dionne for an "On Being" episode. I can't tell whether David Brooks is a Democrat or Republican, a Catholic or a Jew. He's either none of those, which means he lives in a political and religious vacuum, or all of them which means he lives in a political and religious primordial ooze. Or, I'm just an idiot.
